Road Repairs, is value for money or sustainability best? With RoadCem you can have both.
A couple of years ago I watched the road into my village being reconstructed, well I was more or less held prisoner on my own drive for two days whilst the work was completed.
It did look beautiful when it was finished, but even so I contacted our local council highway director and suggested that if he wanted better durability in his HBM road reconstructions, just adding a little of my companies cement modification additive RoadCem. Could triple the working lifespan of his reconstructed roads.
For about £2.00 per square metre of road treated, RoadCem will increase the stiffness/module of elasticity by approximately 50%, whilst promoting early strength gain and reducing shrinkage and subsequent cracking.
If you add frost resistance and water impermeability to these attributes, you can see why RoadCem improves sustainability in road reconstruction using just the existing road materials + binder and increasing durability/lifespan.
The cost is more, but value for money is guaranteed. There is also no doubt that the in-situ stabilisation of the existing road materials is a really sustainable and durable practise. We just need more Councils to consider this option and also to talk to thier contractors about increasing the lifespan of thier in-situ road reconstructions with RoadCem.
About the current condition of the road in front of my house, well it is now dangerous and noisy. Dangerous because have cars drive in the middle of the road, to straddle the central pot holes and noisy, because we are on the National Cycleway and riders are continually screaming “POT HOLES” to any following cyclists.
